Born in Hamilton, Virginia was a lifelong area resident. She passed away on January 26, 2009. "Ginger" was a graduate of the Hamilton Public School District. She was previously employed for many years as a customer service representative at Cablevision of Hamilton until her health failed and she was no longer able to work.
Mrs. Torres was a member of St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church. Daughter of the late Arthur Jr. and Christine (Eskridge) McRae, she leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Justin; her husband, Abimael Torres of Hamilton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Vaughn and Anna "Paulette" McRae of Collingswood and Arthur and Linda McRae of Mt. Holly; three brothers-in-law, Arnaldo, Dennis and Jose Torres of Trenton; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Negron and Daisy Torres of Hamilton; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Luis G. and Casilda Torres of Coamo, Puerto Rico; several nieces and nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were held on February 3, 2009 at St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church, 445 Parkinson Ave., Hamilton. Calling hours were from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Interment was at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Park, Arneytown, NJ. Arrangements were handled by Anderson Funeral Service.
