Bishop John D. Brown, 58, of Ewing, departed this life on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at Capital Health Hopewell Campus.
Born in Roaring Springs, PA, Bishop Brown was raised and educated in Hamilton Township, NJ. He was a graduate of Hamilton High West, Deliverance Bible Institute, and International Bible and Seminar in Florida. He also attended the Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK, and, in 2002, received his Doctor of Divinity from Jameson Bible College.
Bishop Brown was a member of Trenton Deliverance Center and Interfaith Tabernacle Church until he was called to become the Founder and Pastor of Deeper Life Family Worship Center in 1984. He retired from the Coca Cola Company, Hightstown, NJ before entering the ministry fulltime.
Bishop Brown was predeceased by his father, John Brown; a son, Jonathan Allen Brown; a brother, Richard Brown; mother-in-law Nancy Allen; sisters-in-law Virgie Ingram, Annie Branch, and Juanita Morris, and a brother-in-law, Charles Allen Jr. He is survived by his wife, Pastor Bobbie Brown; a son, David Aaron Brown; his mother, Louella Brown; two god daughters, Varanese Fowler and Ashlei Guerra; a grandson, Jahsan Allen Brown; a brother, Keith Brown(Kathy); four brothers-in-law, Detrich Brooks (Bernice), Rev. Arbrie Artison (Doris), Bruce Brownlee (Dorothy), and Willie Artison (Pat); sisters-in-law, Maggie Frazier and Janet Allen; seven nieces; five nephews; four great-nieces; seven great-nephews; members of the Deeper Life Family Worship Center, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. at Grace Cathedral Fellowship Ministries, 1217 Calhoun St., Trenton, NJ. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel of Trenton.
